Recently, The Extract team took a trip to the heart of Ireland (a debatable topic we know, but just outside Trim) to visit the 42-acre hemp farm grown by Glyn Evans. Though his day job is as a microbiologist, Glyn spends mornings, evenings, and weekends tending to his crop.
Stemming from his interest in cutting down his own carbon footprint, the farm grew from 1 acre just a few years ago and today he and his family are carbon negative all because of hemp.
Glyn Evans grows his hemp crop for seed selling it onto deDanú, an Irish-based group interested in creating a self sustaining economy hemp license were issued for Ireland through hemp. They hope to do this through an ethically responsible agricultural business with an international scope.
