Probably one of the biggest drawbacks to smoking cannabis regularly is that it tends to leave a bit of a bad smell lingering around. But we live in the 21st century, and things like that should be a thing of the past.
CannabCo Pharmaceuticals, based out of Brampton, Ontario claim that they have found a way to eliminate the distinctive odour associated with cannabis via a process they are reluctant to give too many details over.
Currently, they are labelling the technology that makes this possible ‘PURECANN’ and claiming that it eradicates the smell of cannabis during storage and virtually all odours upon combustion. In addition, CannabCo claims the innovative technology reduces the harshness of the smoke, too.
However, not everyone is happy with this announcement. Some connoisseurs believe that the smell is just as important as the look and taste. Dan Sutton, CEO of British Columbia based Tantalus Labs, tweeted that his company essentially stocks the exact opposite of the product. The message of his company is to produce quality cannabis grown in a factory located within the lush landscape of BC.
Many wonder, too, if PURECANN will destroy the terpenes and flavonoids which provide so much of the strength and flavour of many strains. In so doing, it would eliminate some of the key benefits many people use cannabis for in the first place.
