The Leafy hotel in Colchester is set to be the first CBD themed hotel in the world. Guests at the Colchester-based accommodation will be able to graze on and buy CBD-infused food and drinks. They’ll stay in rooms where furnishings have been made from hemp and enjoy the benefits of CBD-infused toiletries.

The owners have already provided us with The Green Coffee Lab, a coffee shop offering edible devotees with a range of health and wellness of CBD and Hemp. They also offer an array of workshops and industry-led events plus ‘ted’ talks from the who’s who of the UK hemp industry.

This ‘green’ concept hotel, dubbed the “world's first”, has been opened by one of the divers involved in last year's Thailand cave rescue.
Last summer, British diver and owner of Leafy Hotel and Green Coffee Lab Tim Acton was part of the team who retrieved a youth football team who had been stuck underground in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave for 18 days Almost a year later and with greater focus and renewed willpower Acton has opened a shop and hotel in Colchester, Essex dedicated to food and drink infused with cannabis oil.
The Green Coffee Lab and Leafy Hotel sell cakes, coffee, tea, rum, gin and beer infused with cannabidiol (CBD). Cocktails served at the hotel are infused with CBD and they welcome you to create your own.
Gregory Land from The Green Coffee Lab told the Extract:
“The Green Coffee Lab started with the ambition of providing a green, healthy and alternative space to discuss CBD usage within the community; by pairing up with Canna CBD we can provide the best CBD products within the UK allowing people a sense of security with their purchases”.

The shampoo made available to guests in Acton's eight-bed boutique hotel have also been infused with CBD oil, while light fittings in the establishment have been made using hemp.
The commercial diver, who also owns a hotel in Thailand, explained that the path to opening a cannabis oil shop and hotel hasn't been void of setbacks but he saw a real gap in the market to offer a sustainable, delicious, informative and healthy experience to the CBD Community.
