As cannabis legalisation continues to grow, dream jobs are cropping up across the industry.
The latest comes from AmericanMarijuana.org who are currently recruiting a cannabis reviewer to, in the words of Nate Dogg, “smoke weed every day”. If that isn’t amazing enough, you’ll be paid $3,000 (just over £2,300) to do so.
Before you get your hopes up, the job is a bit more complex than just getting blazed 24/7. According to a statement from the website, there are a few terms and conditions applicants must meet before being considered.
“This job is 100% for real and it’s an important job that includes more than just getting paid to smoke weed. If you think that’s the entire scope of the job, then this might not be for you”
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and ‘physically fit and healthy' enough to carry out regular cannabis product reviews. Potential cannabis flower strains reviewers must also live in Canada or an American state where medical cannabis is legal.
The lucky employee will be responsible for reviewing a “wide variety of cannabis products”, to give AmericanMarijuana readers “honest and reliable insights” on said products. This will involve writing blogs and producing unboxing videos, so if you’re camera shy you might not make the cut.
