The Irish CBD industry looks set to continue its rapid growth with the launch of Ireland's first CBD bar.
CBD Evolve, a small family-run business, has just launched CBD protein bars in three flavours including, berries, coconut & chocolate, and original.
The bars are handcrafted in small batches and where possible using only natural Irish ingredients such as hemp seed, CBD oil, berries, oats, and honey.
Each vegan-friendly bar is GMO-free, gluten-free, and contains 20 mg of CBD along with 17 grams of protein making it an ideal post-workout snack.
CBD Evolve is the brainchild of Irish entrepreneur Richard McCormack, a chef by trade who saw a gap in the Irish CBD market. He looked at the best CBD flower in the UK to choose which to extract from Speaking to The Extract he says:
“As part of my diploma in food science technology I was asked to produce an innovative new product. I had been tinkering with the idea of CBD bars for a couple of years now and saw this as the perfect opportunity to go with it.”
This kick-started Richards business with CBD infused protein bars now available online, in selected spar shops, health food stores, and soon to be in Irish gyms.
Following increased demand, Richard has created a Fundit campaign page looking for support so he can continue R&D, scale-up, and move to larger premises.
Richard says he is excited about the future and expects to launch two new products in the near future – CBD beef jerky and a surprise flavour.
Great to see a company using local suppliers to create a CBD brand. If we can promote local we can all benefit greatly. Love the natural honey ingredients too.
Thanks for this inspirational and very well written article.
