The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean' star, Johnny Depp has admitted to High Court he supplied cannabis to his pre-teen daughter.
Depp is currently in the process of taking legal action against the UK newspaper, The Sun. Due to an article published by The Sun in April 2018, referring to Depp as a ‘wife-beater'.
The film star is currently giving evidence in his libel case against the newspaper.
Depp stated that he felt he was being a responsible parent as far as he was concerned. Notably, he did not want his daughter to experiment with people she did not know.
Depp claims he wanted to prevent his daughter “going into some sort of paranoid tailspin”, due to drugs laced with other substances.
“I know the most important thing for a child if you are going to do something like that – I would rather have them be honest with me and me be honest with them, so she doesn’t go out there and do things and hide them from me.”
